(Anti) Social Lists 8/29/10
Well, I am back from vacation physically but I think mentally I am still away. I intended to jump right back into things when I returned but I tend to forget how exhausted I am the first day back. I also had a number of problems to deal with such as my DSL not working because the cat chewed up a wire heading to a phone jack and the insurance company not processing things correctly.
The first day back was gorgeous but it’s really heating up again. Doesn’t the weather know that summer is supposed to be over once I return from Vermont? ;-)
I don’t have too many links this week but I wanted to get back to my posting schedule again.
Enjoy!
- How Much Should a Web Design Cost – An interesting article about design, quality and cost.
- Randomized Grid of Posts – Code to create unique archives for WordPress
- The Big Ugly Website – It’s always fun to visit the internet in 1997.
- How to Turn a Payphone Into a Library – I don’t see many of these any more but the ones that I do see are usually broken shells. Here is a creative use of them.

a little afraid to look at the web-design costs post; I’ve spent some considerable monies in the past. lol

Hi Dennis – Once the details are worked out a project usually takes 3-4 weeks. If it’s a smaller project, it is usually 1 week.

Welcome home! Thanks for the great links (as always). I did have to comment though. The highschool listed on the Big Ugly Website, is my alma mater. I’m so proud. I didn’t graduate in 1960, but still. =)

Hi Kim,
Welcome back to all the normal daily problems. Every time I come back from holidays do I want to go again direct; my mailbox, telephone answering machine and postbox is full and I’m one week after direct, so Kim, welcome back to the home office.

Hi Marbella – It’s so hard to catch up after being gone. I did weed through email while I was away just so it wasn’t too horrible when I returned. I mostly just sorted it into different folders :-)
