Metro Council Hears Public’s Opinion On Elephant Rides
“Elephant rides were once a staple at the Louisville Zoo and when the circus came to town, but the city banned them after a man was seriously hurt by an elephant in 1994. Now the Shriner’s Circus wants to bring rides back, but a lot of people say it’s too dangerous. A public hearing Wednesday drew dozens of supporters and opponents to a metro council hearing.
