S.Africa should consider elephant cull

I am sending this webemail response to plead with the South African authorities, foresteries and park officials NOT TO KILL/CULL THE MAGNIFICIENT ELEPHANTS in your country. Mass Culling which is nothing but Buthchering of Elephants is truly barbaric, inhumane, extremely cruel, unethical, unnecessary and MUST NOT BE CARRIED OUT. What if we did this to human beings (not too long ago, we had seen this genocide in Nazi Germany during Hitlers regime). Elephants are higly evolved, extraordinarily intelligent, emotionally aware, socially and family oriented animals and during this day and age, we ALL NEED TO STEP IN AND SAVE THEM. What do we mean by over-population. Elephant population ranged in the millions just about 1500 years ago. Please consider re-location, transporting to any other part of Africa where they can be safely accomodated in a wild park, state run reservation. Mass Culling causes extraordinary pain and suffering for these animals. It is deeply traumatizing for the babies and they grow up to become Rogue Elephants. Elephants need to be given their space and mankind should be responsible for making sure these extraordinary animals are being protected, saved and managed better with more land being allocated for conservation efforts. Mankind has no right to take upon himself, for that matter no goverment or agency should be made to take decision affecting adversely the life and welfare of these amazing animals which have lived from the time of the dinasaours. I plead and ask the govt. agencies in South Africa and other nations within Africa which is considering this terrible and truly barbaric route of culling to STOP and evaluate other options. We plead with you to completely negate from the decision to cull elephants. They are the assets for any land and we have to raise all awareness and allocate resources and spread the knowledge of letting these magnificient animals to live their lives in the forests and preserves of all countries around the world. Wildlife like crocodile population is not culled and they grow in great numbers and also to great girth and we find even crocodiles and alligators being transported from one part of the country to another. Why not elephants, why can’t we afford the same efforts to preserve elephants as well. They are also herbivorous.
I will greatly appreciate if you would also make sure, Elephants are not being killed for their ivory or meat or for that sake even game hunting which is Really CRUEL and HEARTLESS and people should be educated about the greatness of having these animals in their nations Goverments and agencies must take steps to educate it’s citizens encourage eco-tourism to help with the management of elephants and to spread the consciousness of preserving and helping these creatures survive in our planet as well.
I hope my pleas will not fall in deaf ears and you will take it upon yourselves to kindly look into all avenues for preserving these great Elephants for many centuries to come in your country and elsewhere and make all efforts necessary to not to kill these beautiful animals. I am sure I am representing millions of human beings who feel the need and urgency to make sure to spread the awareness that African Elephants are still very much endangered and it is mankinds responsibility all over the world to treat them humanely which includes NON-CULLING or MASS KILLING of the Elephant Populations and make more land available and prevent de-forestation. MASS CULLING of Elephants is so distressing, extraordinarily cruel and torturous for these huge animals weighing in the tons to be shot down with 100 or bullets for each of them to die. The baby elephants become traumatized during this gruesome ordeal and the grief and trauma they feel is unimaginable. Elephants are highly sensitive and their sense of pain, loss and grief is so much more than human beings and it has been documented again and again in so many video footage. We need to create a consciousness amongst Humans to be kind, respectful, considerate, compassionate and look to help animals who have no voices for themselves. We need to protect them, either by relocating them or making more land to be allocated for State Parks and Conservation Land. I am speaking for all the millions of humans who know the plight of these wonderful animals.
Thank You for your intelligent and compassinate consideration of your MAGNIFICIENT ELEPHANTS. We are trying to send this letter for YOU TO CONSIDER ALL OTHER OPTIONS AND NEGATE AND WITHDRAW DECISION TO CULL YOUR ELEPHANT POPULATION. Please consider relocating to if needed be other continents which can support them like India, Australia, New Zealand Etc. Thank You Sincerely For YOUR URGENT CONSIDERATION AND DECISION TO STOP CULLING OF ELEPHANTS.
