   Dear sir,
   I am not sure if i am too late for this mail (as i am not in the country and came to know only few days back ) but even though if i am late , i would still want to appeal and want to do the needs of the welfare of this ELEPHANT to return back to her home land .
   this is about the ASHOKAMALA elephant suppose to send to Aremenia, i am shocked to learn that our sri lankan government even considering , ELEPHANTS ARE NOT DOMESTIC PETS . that can pamper and keep in the house , these animals are love to hand around with their herd and not to be prison in a cold counrtry all alone with not their family. its very unfortunate to learn that we have have a heartless goverment officials in srilanka to even consider such a horrendous decision.
   i will give you a perfect example of what happend to an INDIAN ELEPHANT was in kuwait zoo some where in 1990 ( or ninieties ) it was publish in kuwait times and or may be in Arabtimes and i even personally handed over the paper clip to ASST DIRECTOR of DEHIWALA ZOO.
   This poor elephant committed suicide by hitting her head against the wall .and in KUWAIT weather is extreamly hot in summer and cold in winter. and not only that she was abuse and teased and kept in a poor condition. it was in kuwait at that time when incident happend and unable to sleep days and months thinking of what that poor animal went through. in a way i was happy that suffering was over.
   kindly draw this attention to PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA and i request never to send any animals to any countries. ANIMALS are created to be according to the climate environment etc: and no body should take a decision to exchange due to any political reason or for any matter. eg: just imagine getting a polar bear to live in SRI LANKA … polar bears needs extreamly cold temperature. bringing or sending an animal agains their natural surroundings is UNFAIR.
   kindly send me the email add of the president Mahinda Rajapaksha as i would like to hight light this matter . pls DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.

   after i sent the mail i saw some typing error, which i could not fix , at one point i wanted to write these elephants hang around with their herd … and pls correct the other error when u send to president . and may be you can find the article about the elephant which committed suicide in kuwait by KUWAIT TIMES OR ARAB TIMES WEBSITE .. i wittenessed this and i was in the country when this happend.
   it was published full page in the local news paper by some animals rights group led by American woman.
