“An international team of scientists has unlocked the genetic blueprint of hair samples from ancient woolly mammoths found in Siberia. “The issue of migration of wild elephants into Goa from Karnataka and Maharashtra and the damage to crops by the wild elephants was also raised at the conference. The deputy conservator of forests, Mr Santosh Kumar, who also attended the conference, told The Navhind Times that a team would study why the wild elephants come to Goa. It could be that there is a shortage of food and water in their habitats there, he said.” - Navhind Times
