Hi Tracy – Wow! Allergic to apples! It wouldn’t be nice to cook with apples.

Oh why do kids do that? Alex doesn’t anymore but she used to – and it drove me nuts. I ended up finishing a lot of apples that I didn’t really
want to eat in the first place ;-)

We should live together! I could eat all of your pie and you can eat all of the savory dishes with fruit in them.

My husband is seriously allergic to apples so I don’t cook with them, as I don’t want him to feel left out. The kids love them, so we eat them plain.

Although, and I should probably be posting this under an assumed name, the two littlest have taken to taking apples out themselves and taking a few bites and leaving them. I can’t stand wasting good fruit, so, I cut off their bites (does that make sense, sounds weird) peel and slice and put in a small casserole with some brown sugar, cinnamon and little pats of butter and bake until yummy. I think I actually read about using kid-bitten apples that way in the Tightwad Gazette.

And I LOVE tofu!

OO peanut butter and apples…I used to use my corer and ream out the centers and fill the apples with peanut butter, raisins and diced celery and wrap in plastic wrap for sandwiches for school lunches while I was figuring out how to make edible Gluten Free bread and rolls….Your daughter has the right idea…but sometimes those apples just are way too big!

Hi Patricia – My daughter usually eats them before I can cook with them :-) But these were just too big.

She likes slices with peanut butter on them.

I put apples in just about everything…no lie. My husband needs to eat pork with his dietary problems …..I love cooking the pork with apples

They are also a main feature in the STuffed squash in the ebook…and I often use applesauce in the pumpkin muffins.

I can not wait to try this recipe… yummy

Hi Davina – LOL – I hear people say tofu is gross a lot and they usually haven’t tried it. Like anything, it can be gross – it depends on how it is cooked. My kid, however, likes it raw, which I even think is a little gross.

The baked sweet potatoes with apples sounds really yummy!
