Gravatar – How To Have Your Image Appear in Blog Comments
Have you ever wondered why some people have images next to the blog comments that they write?
To have an image show up with your comments, all you have to do is sign up for a free account at Gravatar and upload an image. As you can see from my screenshot, you can store multiple avatars and select the one that you currently want to use.
When you leave a comment, you must use the same email address associated with your gravatar account or your image will not be displayed.
So, if you leave comments, please sign up for a gravatar account and let me see who you are.

Thanks, Kim! Jason Alba had introduced me to Gravatar and I set myself up but since I also use another e-mail address. And apparently don’t realize when I switch, the first test comment didn’t work for me. Your advice about different e-mails was a “duh” moment for me! Now both are set up.

Hi Julie,
I’m so glad it helped. I think that since we all use multiple email addresses that we don’t realize that the email address is affecting the gravatar. It was one of those pieces of information I learned about recently and filed away – I knew it would come up again.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! :-)

Kim, it’s true that if you use an e-mail other your Gravatar e-mail, your picture won’t show up.
But did you know you can also use more than one e-mail with Gravatar?
I covered using multiple e-mails with Gravatar in a blog post a few weeks ago:
