Happy Halloween
Alex had a great time at the Halloween Parade yesterday. The weather was perfect and so many people showed up for it. Between Halloween and Philadelphia winning the World Series the city has been a little crazy.

I’ve finally added the photos from the last couple of months. I’ve been so busy that I’ve been neglecting Alex’s site. New photos have been added to August 2008, September 2008 and October 2008.

Today I took a video of Alex riding her bicycle while riding behind her. It was a little hard to hold the video camera but not too bad - that’s why it’s a little shaky. We have a great time riding together but every time we go it seems to be really humid - we come home drenched.
Alex just yelled across the house, “Mommy!” I yelled back, “What?” And then she said, “I love you!”
Alex and I found an abandoned or lost kitten in the park today. We brought it home but will hopefully find her real home or someone to take her. Alex, however, is already really attached to her - the kitten is so adorable. I call the kitten Captain Courageous because she is SO brave. When Carly (big mean kitty) saw her, the kitten ran right up to her. Carly then hissed and was really mean - the kitten hissed right back at her. Alex calls the kitten C.C. for short.
Here’s a video of the kitten playing in Alex’s dollhouse.
There are new photos from June 2008. Most are from Alex’s birthday and birthday party. The photos on the tv are from the Wii slideshow I made of photos of Alex from the first 6 years of her life.

On May 31st, Alex and I went to Wizard World, an annual toy and comic book convention. The photos have been added to May 2008.

Alex got her first bike with training wheels for her birthday. On Thursday, after she got it, Marc tried to show her how to ride it but it was very unsuccessful. We were all tired, Alex was crying, I was impatient, and Marc was annoyed. I thought, “how are we going to teach her how to do this?”
Today, a couple of hours after her birthday party with her friends, she wanted me to take her out to practice riding. I really didn’t want to because of what happened the other night and because it was so humid out. It was way to hot and sticky today to deal with that kind of frustration.
But something happened in the last two days and Alex now knows how to ride. Here’s a video I took. The quality isn’t great because it was with my phone.
Photos from Spring Break (Grammy and Johnny’s visit) have been added to March 2008.
Alex and I dyed Easter eggs today. She also colored them and used little star and heart stamps on them. A couple of pictures have been added to March 2008.
