On Saturday the 8th (our 17 month wedding anniversay) we went into Center City with Alex and had a wonderful time. Alex was SO good (she gets a perfect baby sticker for February 7th and 8th). We split up and Marc took Alex and went to the bank and the comicbook shop while I went to the library and reserved a book on teaching a baby sign language (so far I know the signs for hungry, thirsty, cat, and change diaper - the signs are for hearing babies and they have been able to teach them how to communicate their needs until they can speak). Anyway, we met at Barnes and Noble and went to the cafe there to get some coffee and feed Alex her lunch. Before Alex ate she was playing with her toys and, of course, kept dropping them on the ground. Marc thought that they were getting too dirty so he got a cup of water to wash them off with. We were sitting there having a really nice time when Marc went to catch a toy that Alex was about to drop and the cup of water went flying all over Alex - she got covered with ice cold water and most of it landed on her face, blanket and Marc’s backpack. She let out such a scream … but once I picked her up she was fine and got over it really fast. At the time it was so horrible for her but now it is pretty funny. Little did she expect to get a second ice-cold baptism.

Alex isn’t as bald as she looks in this picture - I guess it is the lighting or something …
