New photos - most from Alex’s birthday
There are new photos from June 2008. Most are from Alex’s birthday and birthday party. The photos on the tv are from the Wii slideshow I made of photos of Alex from the first 6 years of her life.

Alex got her first bike with training wheels for her birthday. On Thursday, after she got it, Marc tried to show her how to ride it but it was very unsuccessful. We were all tired, Alex was crying, I was impatient, and Marc was annoyed. I thought, “how are we going to teach her how to do this?”
Today, a couple of hours after her birthday party with her friends, she wanted me to take her out to practice riding. I really didn’t want to because of what happened the other night and because it was so humid out. It was way to hot and sticky today to deal with that kind of frustration.
But something happened in the last two days and Alex now knows how to ride. Here’s a video I took. The quality isn’t great because it was with my phone.
Happy Birthday Alex!!! I can’t believe you are already 6 years old. I love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate with you later today.
It has been so hot the last couple of days in Philadelphia. So hot in fact, that the entire Philadelphia School District had emergency school closings and all school closed at noon for two days. Fortunately, Alex’s after school program had in fall under the “snow day” policy and picked up the children at noon and kept them the rest of the day. And there was no extra charge for this …
It’s supposed to be a little better tomorrow so Alex’s birthday should be ok - it’s in two days and she is so excited to be turning 6.
I have some recent pictures from our visit to Wizard World but haven’t uploaded them yet - hopefully I will get that down soon. But I have been so busy and with the heat and getting ready for the birthday party there just hasn’t been any extra time.
Happy Birthday Johnny!! Hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday Natalie. We hope that you have a great day.
Alexandra is 5.5 today. When I told her that she asked me if that meant it was her birthday. I said, well it’s your half year birthday but we don’t usually have a party for that. Hopefully I can get a picture of her later on.
Happy Birthday Daddy!!! I hope you have a great day! I am also excited about my first day of kindergarten.
Alex had her 5th birthday party on Saturday June 9th. All of her family was there on the Britton side and a couple of her friends. She had a Wizard of Oz theme - she still loves Dorothy. She had a wonderful time and got some great gifts. I can’ believe that she is 5 - she seems to think that being 5 makes her more grown-up and that she can do whatever she wants now.
On her actual birthday on the 12th she had a party at Pre-K with cupcakes and a pinata. The pinata was a princess castle and had strings for the kids to pull rather then having the kind that the kids try to beat with a stick. After school and work we took her out to eat at Olive Garden, which is one of her favorite restaurants., I told them it was her birthday and the staff sang Happy Birthday in Italian and gave her a chocolate cake. Alex kept saying, “How did they know it was my birthday?”
