Easter Eggs
Alex and I dyed Easter eggs today. She also colored them and used little star and heart stamps on them. A couple of pictures have been added to March 2008.

I have added new photos! There is one on March 2006 and the rest are on April 2006 and 4th Easter. There aren’t any pictures of me on Easter because, unfortunately, I was very sick that day.
I have added new photos to March 2005. Most of them can also be viewed on 3rd Easter.

For days, Alex has been waiting for the ‘bunny to bring her a basket’. She was so surprised to see her Easter surprises when she got up this morning. At first she didn’t want to take anything out of the basket and instead was carrying it around like a purse. But now she is getting into the candy and is starting to bounce around like a little monkey (or a bunny). We’re going to church later this morning and then later today we are going over to Uncle Ben’s house.
Happy Easter!!!!

I’ve posted new pictures. You can view them under April 2004 and Second Easter.
Alexandra had a wonderful Easter (even though it was cold and rainy). She woke up a little after 7 and had two Easter baskets to open!!! She loved the baskets and ate too many jellybeans for breakfast
She got a bit of a sugar rush and then crashed because when we were getting her ready for church she made a huge fuss and got really upset about wearing her Easter dress (I should have pictures soon). Even though she was ticked off she looked so adorable. Marc calmed her down and then we left for church. We went to St. Johns, which we hardly ever go to anymore, because we like Easter there and because it is right next to the train station to get to Grandma’s house. Alex was wonderful during mass and sat with Marc almost the entire time. She was the only little kid who wasn’t running around in the back - it was good that she was so well behaved because the church was packed - I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people at St. Johns.
After church we headed to Grandma’s house. Alex was SO happy to be there and see her Grandma and Aunt Lisa. We ate lunch and Alex got another Easter basket - this one, however, didn’t have any candy (thank goodness - I don’t think we are ever going to finish all the candy in this house). She got an Elmo book, a Pooh Bear video and some new shirts and socks. By this point Alex was really tired and it was way past her nap time. She couldn’t settle down so we watched her new video - she layed on the floor with Marc while watching it and at least rested.
Aunt Lisa then tried to set up an Easter egg hunt for Alex - since the weather was so bad we needed to do it inside and Alex followed Lisa around while she was trying to hide the eggs. So instead of a hunt Alex was basically handed eggs with animal crackers inside of them. It was funny and cute.
Oh - and when Grandma gave Alex her basket I said - say thank you grandma - and in a very garbled manner Alex said it!!! We were shocked.
Alex wanted to play outside with Grandma but we just stayed on the porch because of the terrible weather. We left around 5 and took the train home. Alex was SO tired from not sleeping all day but she had a great time. She just had a little dinner because she ate all day long and had an early bath- she went to bed about 30 minutes early and passed out almost instantly. Marc and I were pooped too but ended up staying up late because while flipping through the stations we came across a biography of the Pope on PBS that was fascinating.
We had a great Easter - I just hope one of these years it doesn’t rain ![]()

I’m pretty excited about Easter and am anxious ofr marc and Alex to get up. Alex will get her Easter basket. Then we are going to church and after that to Grandma’s house. We should have lots of pictures.

We had a really good time on Easter and Alexandra was so good (except for church). Alex gets really antsy in church because she doesn’t really understand why she can’t climb and crawl around like she does everywhere else. I felt bad about leaving right after communion but I knew she wasn’t going to make it the last 10 minutes. And church is at a time in the morning when she is starting to get tired - she almost always passes out when we get home.
Oh, but first - I forgot to mention her Easter basket. Alex got a basket with a stuffed Pat the Bunny and plastic eggs with banana cookies and zwieback toast in the them. Marc couldn’t wait for her to get up because he was so excited to give her the Easter basket. She got up, had milk and then we gave it to her. She was flapping her arms and thought that it was so much fun. Her favorite part, however, seemed to be the ribbon tied to the top of the basket.
Alex wore one of her new dresses - green with flowers and a little white collar. She also wore white tights, her shoes, and a white sweater in the morning. She looked so cute even though she doesn’t really like to wear dresses because they get in her way when she is trying to crawl.
After church Alex fell asleep but we had to wake her up after a half hour so we could take the train to Alma’s house. I was worried that she would then be tired and cranky but I guess it was a power nap because she had a great day and was a lot of fun.
The whole family was at Alma’s - Jon, Lisa, Alma, Ben, Felice and Brandon. Alex had a really good time - she spent a lot of time playing with Alma and Lisa. At one point a group of us was sitting outside on the porch and were talking and laughing - Alex started laughing like she was following the conversation.
On the way back to the train Alma pushed Alex in the stroller and Alex fell asleep. She slept almost all the way home. When we got home she played for a little while - she was actually hyper and punchy from being overtired - and then had a bath and passed out.
Her first Easter was a lot of fun, she was so good and the weather was really nice. It was a great day. I should have pictures in the next couple of days.

Happy first Easter to Alexandra!!!
