Happy Birthday Johnny!! Hope you have a great day!
Happy Birthday!! I hope the Patriots win the Super Bowl for you even though I should vote for the Eagles seeing as how I live in Philly
Love you!!!
Our train ride up was peaceful and uneventful. Alex was really good, took a great nap and the train wasn’t crowded at all. She even did great on the car ride to Grandma’s house afterward. On the way, we stopped for ice cream and Alex learned to day - “Ice Cream, Ice Cream, Ice Cream” while banging her hands on the table. And now she asks me for ice cream almost every day. The first day we were there we slept in, played outside, Alex worked in the garden, and in the afternoon after Alex’s nap we went to the beach at Lake Willoughby. Here are some great photos of the lake. Alex has so much fun playing in the sand, digging, and making sand castles with Marc and Johnny. She was like - this is great, they never want me to play in the dirt at home. At first, she was very hesitant about the water but once she went in she had such a good time. She was playing and splashing - it was so wonderful to see her out on the fresh air having so much fun.

Happy Birthday Uncle Johnny!!! I hope you have a great day!
Alex has been having a ball with all of her visitors - the only problem is that she doesn’t want to miss anything so she hasn’t been getting enough sleep. But she has been so wonderful and cute except at bedtime. Grandma, Uncle Johnny and Uncle Dylan have been here since Saturday and yesterday Natalie and John came for a visit - we had a really nice time. Today we are all going to Doylestown, where Marc and I had a wedding reception and then to mass for Christmas. I can’t wait until tomorrow - I thing Alex is going to have a really good time.
Grandma Arlene, Uncle Johnny, and Uncle Dylan are coming today to be here for Christmas - they will be here about 8pm tonight. I know they would like to see Alex when they get here but I am really hoping that she is already in bed
Friday August 16th Alexandra and I left Vermont. Mom brought us to the train station in the morning - Alex was suprisingly good in the car seat … she started fussing but I was able to amuse her for about an hour with her mirror. We got to the train station a little early because we wanted extra time in case we needed to stop on the way there. Karen came with Kenny and Eli to see us off because she lives really close to the train station in White River. Alex started fussing so Mom gave her a bottle, which she took without a problem and Alex fell asleep. I was nervous about getting on the train because I had too much to carry with Alex and all of our luggage. Fortunately Karen helped me with the luggage while Mom held Alex. I actually started panicking because I thought the train would leave while Mom still had Alex outside of the train. But we got settled and everything was fine.
We had a great train ride - it was quiet and we had a seat to ourselves the entire trip. And Alex was SO good!!! Three different people complimented her on what a good baby she was and that you wouldn’t even know that there was a baby on the train.
Marc met us in Philly and the train people let him come down to the platform to meet us - this was so helpful and they don’t usually let people do that. I had called him from the train and he brought the car seat with him so we could take a cab home rather than the trolley. But it was SO hot in Philly - I wasn’t happy to be back in the heat and humidity. And whenever I come back from Vermont the city seems so overwhelming.
Marc was so happy to see us!!! Alex was pretty worn out from her trip so she went to bed fairly early.

Sleeping before the big train ride home.

At the train station with Eli, Karen, and Kenny.
Alexandra and I were still in Vermont and spent the day at the beach with Johnny and Dylan because it was still so hot. Alex got really crabby in the afternoon and Johnny decided that she was probably hot so he brought her down to the water. Everytime we dipped her toes and legs in she would fuss a little but this time she loved it - it was like she was thinking I’m hot and this is very refreshing. He took her out to her shoulders and then floated her on her back!!! She didn’t fuss at all and seemed to really enjoy it.
That night she had a hard time settling down to sleep and I was a little tense because I was trying to back and had too much stuff for too few bags - plus I didn’t know how I was going to carry it all by myself. Johnny ended up packing for me while I took care of Alex
