I am currently working on a personal project to create a WordPress based collection of all the books I have read. While searching for resources I came across these great WordPress themes for selling books – some are geared toward an individual author’s books and others are for a full online store that could be used for a bookstore or publisher.

Another week, another month almost done. I’ve been busy with a lot of events for my daughter. With her social schedule you would think she was 16 rather than 8.

Enjoy!

Converting a Static Website to WordPress: Mary Shelley and Frankenstein Part 2
At the beginning of April I wrote about an older website that I converted to WordPress. This site is about Mary Shelley and Frankenstein and has existed since 1996.
I intended to write this second part in the weeks following but it was only when someone asked me about it a couple of days ago that I realized almost 2 months had gone by and that I still hadn’t written it. There is no simple way to convert an html site to WordPress and if there are a lot of pages it can be a tedious process. It can be the best time to take a close look at your content and determine what needs to be updated, what is irrelevant and what needs to be removed completely.
Here are some of the logistical matters that need to be taken care of when converting an html site to a WordPress one.
Stuff This in Your RSS – 12/02/08 – Eleblog
Today’s RSS recommendation involves some shameless self-promotion. It’s my site so I can do that, right?
I LOVE elephants. I don’t know why and it didn’t start when I was a child. I think it’s because of their intelligence and group empathy. Over 6 years ago I started an elephant website called Eleblog in which I gathered all elephant related news. The site now contains almost 4000 posts and I have edited out posts linking to news articles that no longer exist.
