Stuff This in Your RSS – 11/25/08 – Jay is Games

Stuffed Animal Game (by Tweek)

Ok, sometimes I need a break from writing or fixing blogs or actually doing my day job but I still want to keep my mind alert. This is when I like to play casual games – hidden object or puzzle ones. Playing for a little bit gives me a break but doesn’t make me stupid like television or put me to sleep like reading and then I feel ready to get back to work.

One of the best sites that gathers the best of the best of the casual games is Jay is Games. The site description is,

The best Flash and Casual games available on the Web get reviewed, discussed and recommended here.

My favorite types are the hidden object and the room escape. A hidden object game is like a more difficult version of Where’s Waldo while in a room escape you are stuck in room and you have to locate the clues to get out of it.

Not all of the games are free but a lot of them are. If you click on the free tag, you will get a list of the ones that have no charge.

I also like to play “real” games like Tomb Raider and Neverwinter Nights but don’t have the time to devote to them anymore. I know a lot of people think it’s strange for a woman my age to play video games as a hobby but I never said I was normal.

What do you do to take a break? Do you like to play video games? Do you like casual games?

As a sidenote, I’m thinking of ending this series. Do you find it useful? Would you be lost without me on Tuesdays? Should I start something new?
