Last week I wrote about a way to filter the Facebook news stream by pagesby creating lists. It isn’t an elegant solution, but since Facebook made their last round of changes their isn’t another way to do this. It’s a shame because it used to work great. I think that Facebook needs to learn that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. And if it is broke, please listen to your users and at least attempt to fix it.

Anyway, in the comments, Ajith asked how to delete the lists that had already been created. This, too, had been moved in Facebook’s last update and the settings were not obvious.

Here’s how to edit and delete a Facebook list.

1. Click on Account on the top right of the Facebook top navigation bar.
   
2. Select Edit Friends



3. On the next page you can add a fan page or a friend to an existing lists and create a new list
4. On the left are the lists that you have already created.
   
5. Click on the name of the list that you want to edit or delete.
6. At the top of the page you will now have two new buttons: Edit List and Delete List.
   

So, that’s how you find the new location to edit and delete lists that you have already created. You can create a new list from here as well.

• How to Write a WordPress Plugin – This tutorial is a year old and is aimed at people with knowledge of PHP. It is an comprehensive twelve part tutorial. I just wish I knew PHP better.
• 39 Things I Have Learned as I Prepare to Turn 40 Mark Hayward lists 39 things he has learned as he approaches 40. I wish I had seen this article in May when it came out as Mark Hayward and I are almost birthday buddies – he is just one day older than me :-)
• Launching Your Next Venture Using Social Media – 5 Lessons Learned – Recently Train for Humanity was on the (Anti) Social-List. This article is a follow-up in which the lessons learned about launching a new product via social media are highlighter as well as what would be done differently the next time.

• New at (Anti) Social Development – If you are a frequent visitor (I know I have a couple), you have noticed some changes. I removed some pages from my header navigation and added some others. The sidebars, header and footer are also different depending on which page you are on. I will write about this in more detail this week but, for now, let’s just say I’m open for business.

• What US healthcare will look like: Obama vs. McCain – Siel discusses what we know about healthcare coverage under both presidential candidates. We know a lot about McCain’s policies but many of Obama’s are unknown. The article focuses on California but health care is an important issue for all.
• Hate Mail: Apparently I’m a Bad Mom – Vered shares a piece of hate email she received and how the anonymous emailer accused her of being a bad mother because she doesn’t write about her children on her blog. Ridiculous!
• WordPress Developer’s Toolbox – Smashing Magazine released the WordPress Developers Toolbox an organized list of development resources for WordPress. I have only started reading the articles but have already discovered SO much useful information.
• 40+ Beautiful Icon Sets Hand-picked from deviantART- Part 2 – Noupe lists some gorgeous icon sets from deviant art. There is something useful for everyone on this list. Unfortunately, after reading the list, I went to deviant art and spent way too long looking at icons and wallpapers and photos and more.
• Getting Started with WordPress – Theme Forest has a blog with useful WordPress information. This tutorial is tailored for beginners who need to become familiar with the WordPress interface.
• 100 Best Feeds for Job Seekers – Are you looking for a job? Do you live in your feed reader? Well, then you’re in luck. Here is a list of 100 RSS feeds for job seekers.

• Mark Hayward of mytropicallandscape launched Train for Humanity. Check out the site and get involved.
• Dave Wilkinson posted an awesome tutorial on how to backup your website via ftp with Filezilla. He’s got a lot of other useful information on his website, so it’s worth reading some of his other articles.
• Green & Clean Mom launched the Mommy Go Green Blog Tours. If you would like to write about and review environmentally sound products on your website, get involved with the tour. There is also a section for companies who would like to have their products reviewed.
• Narayanan Hariharan provides a humorous look at the Unnecessary Knowledge database. I don’t want to divulge any spoilers but watch out for donkeys, ok?

Some of us were less then impressed, didn’t care for the Eula, and unwilling to give up our Firefox extensions and didn’t like way data was sent back to Google. Lifehacker wrote a great guide on how to get the best Chrome features in Firefox.
• 10 WordPress Hacks to Make Your Life Easy – BlogOH!Blog lists 10 hacks to use on WordPress. You need to be familiar with editing your theme files to implement these but they are fully explained and work great. I added the ‘Adding a “Subscribe to feed” message after every post’ hack, which you can see at the bottom of this article.
• Why I Don’t Want to be Added to Your LinkedIn Network and (What I Do Want) – Ari Herzog discusses the ways to not use LinkedIn, as well as the best usage of that social network.

I can appreciate the tips as I have managed to keep myself organized but am not as diligent at keeping track of my daughter’s schedule.

• Top 10 Fashion Mistakes – Vered, of MomGrind, lists the top fashion mistakes. This lists includes some great photos and the comments are a lot of fun.

• So You Compost, Drive a Hybrid, Wear Recycled Boots and Eat a Lot of Hummus, But Are You Green Enough? – Environmentalists often wonder if they are really doing enough and question all of their choices. This article looks at that problem.

• 7 Tips for New Twitter Users – I really agree with #1, provide a photo of yourself. I feel more connected when I know what the other users look like. And, no, don’t use a photo of your 20 year old niece.
• New Poll: How Do You Back Up Your Websites? I enjoyed the suggestions in the comments of this poll because I have been thinking about this topic and wrote an article about it recently. If you aren’t backing up your site, please start now.
