Back to School, Twitter, Backing Up and Monty Python all make up an electic selection for this week’s (Anti) Social-List.

• Back to School Season – Keep Family a Priority – Parents are scrambling to get their kids ready for the upcoming school year. SimpleMom discusses ways to stay organized with back to school and throughout the school year. I can appreciate the tips as I have managed to keep myself organized but am not as diligent at keeping track of my daughter’s schedule.

• Top 10 Fashion Mistakes – Vered, of MomGrind, lists the top fashion mistakes. This lists includes some great photos and the comments are a lot of fun.
• The Care and Feeding of World Changers – Chris Guillebeau talks about reading and how important it is to make time to do so. The article and comments also includes reading suggestions.
• So You Compost, Drive a Hybrid, Wear Recycled Boots and Eat a Lot of Hummus, But Are You Green Enough? – Environmentalists often wonder if they are really doing enough and question all of their choices. This article looks at that problem.
• 7 Rules to Reclaim Ownership of Your Mind – Jonathan Mead provides ways to not let your mind be ruled by others. I especially like #1 and #4. No, I’m not going to tell you what they are. Go read the article.
• 7 Tips for New Twitter Users – I really agree with #1, provide a photo of yourself. I feel more connected when I know what the other users look like. And, no, don’t use a photo of your 20 year old niece.
• New Poll: How Do You Back Up Your Websites? I enjoyed the suggestions in the comments of this poll because I have been thinking about this topic and wrote an article about it recently. If you aren’t backing up your site, please start now.

• The Steven Wright Guide to Content Marketing – Copyblogger relates Steven Wright’s style of comedy to the importance of site content.
• South Ossetia: Social Media Tells the Rest of the Story – According to David Wescott, the best coverage of the conflict between Georgia and Russia is through Social Media.
• 10 Signs Living in a Cubicle is Getting to You – Funny and True. Apparently the cubicle is also the same age as me. I had no idea cubicles had been around for so long.
• How to Play PS2 Games on Your PC – Instructions on how to emulate the PS2 on your PC. Seems a bit complicated so unless you are really into tinkering, you are probably better off buying a PS2.
• Back to School-17 Habits for a Successful Life – Jeff Nickles lists habits that will assist with a successful back to school experience but are applicable to everyone.
• 10 Tech Solutions to Improve Productivity – The software and tools that Chris Brogan uses to increase his productivity. You know, it seems like everyone is really into being productive every moment of every day. Sometimes I feel like making lists on how to be a total slacker. ;-)
• Getting Back on the Right Life Path – Ali Hale examines how unexpected life events can easily change the path you want to take in life and what you can do to stop the change from becoming permanent.
• Twitter: Social Story-Telling – An article that shows how Twitter is more than link sharing and location boasting; it also tells the human experience in 140 characters.

• Do What Works for You – Chris Brogan discusses only using the social networks that work for you and that you enjoy.
• Neglected Tabs, Storyteller Microbloggers, and the Neverending Cycle – Jake de Grazia’s article about his part time experiment with using Twitter and his partially failed attempt at chronicling his favorite tweets.
• Introverted sharing (blogging) vs. extroverted sharing (lifestreaming) – Mark Dykeman argues that blogging is sharing for introverts while lifestreaming is for extroverts. In my opinion, it is the opposite.
• The Impossible Task of Cutting Plastic Out of Your Life – Plastic is ubiquitous. There are even swirling masses of garbage in the ocean. It is nearly impossible to stop consuming plastic.
• Green School Supplies are Cool – How to make back to school shopping more environmentally friendly.
• Get More From Google Reader – Tips and Tricks for Google Reader
